Fundos geridos pela Arrow Global adquiriram o Browns Sports Resort, em Vilamoura, com objetivo de consolidar a sua estratégia de investimento em ativos turísticos e desportivos em Portugal. A gestão do resort ficará a cargo da Details – Hospitality, Sports & Leisure, empresa detida pelo fundo.

Browns Sports Resort covers an area of approximately 53,000 square meters. The complex features villa accommodations, training facilities, a health club, a spa, and dining spaces, and is fully equipped to host professional teams and athletes in training camps, as well as tourists seeking active leisure.

In a statement, Arrow Global highlights that, over more than 20 years of operation, Browns has welcomed hundreds of national and international teams, “benefiting from its proximity to golf courses and beaches.”

The acquisition is part of the “strategy of funds managed by Arrow Global to consolidate an integrated portfolio of sports and tourism assets,” focused on upgrading infrastructure and attracting international events. As part of this strategic plan, “significant investments” have already been made in Vilamoura to upgrade golf courses and expand the marina.

Resort management will be led by Details, which already manages a portfolio of sports and tourism assets in Portugal, including 12 golf courses and hotel properties such as Hyatt Regency Vilamoura and Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa.

Details is also developing “the largest equestrian center in the country,” described by Arrow Global as “a world-class infrastructure that positions Vilamoura on the international equestrian circuit.”

According to the company, this investment in the sports segment has helped “attract top-tier competitions to Portugal, such as the PGA Tour Champions’ Portugal Invitational, high-level show jumping events including the CSI 5*, and international sailing regattas.”

For João Bugalho, CEO of Arrow Global Portugal, the acquisition represents a “long-term vision based on creating economic, social, and reputational value for the country.” He believes that “Vilamoura possesses unique conditions to establish itself as a destination of excellence for major international sports events.”

With this operation, Browns Sports Resort begins a new chapter, “backed by the financial capacity of funds managed by Arrow Global and the operational expertise of Details, aimed at reinforcing its positioning as a destination of excellence in sports tourism in Portugal.”
