DETAILS Strengthens Sustainability Leadership with EcoVadis Certification

Details – Hospitality, Sport & Leisure, Arrow Global’s tourism asset management platform in Portugal, has earned the EcoVadis certification with a silver medal, while also renewing its Biosphere Certified and Sustainability Engaged distinctions.

The EcoVadis certification places DETAILS in the top 15 organizations evaluated worldwide over the past 12 months. The assessment focused on four key areas: Environment, Ethics, Labor & Human Rights, and Sustainable Procurement. Key highlights included the company’s commitment to reducing environmental impact, promoting fair and safe working conditions, implementing ethical practices, and embedding sustainability criteria across its supply chain.

At the same time, the company achieved GEO Certification for its golf courses in Vilamoura—The Old Course, Pinhal, Millennium, and Laguna. Improvements to irrigation systems, the reduction of turfgrass areas (resulting in lower water consumption), and the renovation of maintenance facilities were among the key actions driving this recognition.

Susana Cavaco, Head of ESG at DETAILS, states: “We believe that corporate sustainability is neither a passing trend nor a one-time obligation, but a permanent commitment to the future of our business, our people, and the planet.”

According to the company, these accolades arrive at a strategic moment as DETAILS continues to solidify its dedication to sustainability through key projects in decarbonization, energy efficiency, responsible water management, and biodiversity protection—with a strong focus on golf course and resort management.

Additionally, DETAILS renewed its Biosphere Certified status across six managed properties: Old Course Vilamoura, Pinhal Vilamoura, Laguna Vilamoura, Millennium Vilamoura, Vale da Lapa Village Resort, and Aqua Pedra dos Bicos Design Beach Hotel.

This overarching strategy translates into adopting circular economy principles as an operational cornerstone, focused on waste reduction and resource optimization. This sustainable commitment extends to Procurement and Food & Beverage, prioritizing local suppliers, seasonal produce, and supporting regional economies.
